Taxi drivers in Vereeniging were arrested on Wednesday after they barricaded all entrances during a protest in the CBD.

Police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at the protestors.

Police spokesperson Fikile Funda said the taxi drivers communicated to them that they were waiting for a delegation from the legislature with whom they have issues.
