Runners in the Comrade Marathon could be running through the rain on Sunday morning if the weather forecast proves accurate.
The marathon spans 89km from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.
The race is scheduled to begin at 5.30am on Sunday.
The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has confirmed that nearly R4.3-million for the prize money for the 94th edition of the world’s most gruelling ultramarathon, to be hosted in two weeks’ time.
