Jerusalem vocalist Nomcebo Zikode has dropped her own track Xola Moya Wam and for the song, she has teamed up with Master KG.
The track is the first release of Nomcebo’s upcoming debut album which will consist of five tracks. Xola Moya Wam sees hitmaker Master KG exploring the amapiano genre.
Speaking to Sowetan, Nomcebo explained that the album was inspired by her emotions when the COVID-19 lockdown hit the country.
“The album was inspired by the fact that when the Covid-19 lockdown hit, I got scared. I thought God was punishing me because I have such a big song [Jerusalema] and I should be outside singing and making money,” Zikode says.
“I thought God was punishing me for choosing Him over money. So, the mood of the album is about me trying to fulfil my purpose, but it’s not easy.
Sharing news of her release, Nomcebo wrote on social media “finally my prayer has been answered”.
