The Key Performance Areas:
Manage and be accountable for all Labour Relations matters by providing knowledge to the business.
Provide feedback on the effectiveness of Employee Relations processes
Support grievance issues
Support managers in handing conflicts or difficult Employee Relations situations
Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
Revise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
Draft, modify and implement company policies
Collaborate with HR departments to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations
Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Matric (Grade 12) plus a relevant HR degree is a must
5-6 years working experience in Labour Relations and IR related roles
Computer literate – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the labour relations and strong understanding of ER/IR (Negotiations, CCMA, Industrial actions, dealing with unions, dispute resolution, strategic employment relations) and other legal matters
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of HR practices.
Understanding of SA Labour legislative.
Own transport needed since position requires travelling
