Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Commander-In-Chief Julius Malema has condemned the rape threats that were made against Karima Brown. “Things like rape, things like violent crimes are not things to go around playing with them. We’ve got serious in South Africa of violence against women, it’s not something you can threaten a person with,” Malema said. South African Editor’s Forum called on Julius Malema and the entire EFF leadership to apologise to Karima Brown.

Malema said anyone who made the threats should be locked up and they should rot in jail for a long time. After Brown posted an editorial brief in an EFF media WhatsApp group after the party posted an invitation to an EFF “Breakfast with the Elderly” function scheduled for Wednesday.
