There were players from Cape Town who were playing with Sinethemba at Masiphumelele FC in Fish Hoek. According to these players, Sinethemba was working as a firefighter National Park in Cape Town. But when he was free at work he used to play for Masiphumelele.

Free State Stars Captain Paulous Masehe told the gathering that they lost a joker. Sinethemba was the person who would not take everything seriously. I remember we were fighting for relegation some other time then he said to me my captain do not worry our team will not be relegated. And we did not get relegation that season. Whenever he was around players there were no dull moment because of his jokes. Sinethemba was very disciplined,” he said.

Sinethemba grew up without parents because they died while he was still young. Free State Stars owner Mike Mokoena did not attend the funeral service because he was not feeling well.
